1973 - 1979 Firebird or Trans Am Hood Scoop Air Cleaner Base for Pontiac Engines

Correct air cleaner base for your Firebird Trans Am. This version is for all models that are equipped with Pontiac engines. Currently available as a used GM item only. Truly each year 73, 74, 75, 76, etc are unique. The differences are only minor, like valve cover vent tube hole locations etc. This one features the OVAL OUTLET where your fresh air duct connects.
The scoop you will receive will look similar to the ones pictured. These are so rare and hard to find at this time we are not listing as year specific. Last one we have and she is sweet. Includes a real correct domed air cleaner lid. Please make sure this is the air cleaner base you need and want as GM used parts are non-refundable.

* PLEASE NOTE ~ Works great for any Pontiac V8 engine with a 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetor and a stock height intake. Some Holley, Edelbrock, etc. aftermarket carbs may need modification or the fuel line drop down fitting.

* PLEASE NOTE ~ This air cleaner hood scoop base is truly for Pontiac engines. Over the years many cars have had an engine or hood scoop / air cleaner swap. Please double check your particular engine and scoop set up to make sure this will work for you.
