1969 - 1981 Pontiac Firebird Speedometer Cable UPPER Section for Automatic Transmission & Cruise Control, 61"

New UPPER Speedo Cable for Automatic and Cruise Control 1969 - 1981 Firebird models. This speedometer cable is a new, aftermarket replacement part. It is just what you need to repair or replace a bent, broken, rusted or defective cable and get your speedometer working properly again.

Over time, many cables are susceptible to moisture and dirt penetrating through the outer casing and causing the inner transmission wire to rust or seize. This in turn may cause the wire to either snap or wear a hole in the outer casing. Also, after many years of use, the lubricant inside the casing will diminish allowing more friction to build up between the wire and casing causing failure.

If you have a speedometer that is not working properly and the speedometer cable is the cause, this is the part for you!

Note: In some cases, this cable may be just a bit longer then the original. This is ok as long as the ends of the cable match your original cable. This cable replaces the original Firebird UPPER cruise control speedo cable.

*If you have the cruise control option, your car has a two piece speedometer cable. One upper section and one lower section.

NOTE ~ This cable is designed to work in unison with the lower cable ( DAS-2334 )
