PRWs high flow aluminum water pumps are engineered to deliver an increased water flow. These super velocity pumps significantly improve cooling for all street, high performance and racing applications. With special cast-iron impeller and tight clearances, PRW High Performance Aluminum Water Pumps provide increased coolant flow, block pressure, and balanced delivery. Each pump features low pressure-injected, aluminum alloy pump bodies that are complemented by a precision cast-iron impeller design. This helps minimize engine hot spots at any speed.

Equalized water flow distribution and pressure balanced water passages minimize internal engine hot-spots making these pumps an excellent alternative for not only racers, but also your restoration. *GENERALLY FITS THE FOLLOWING MODELS WITH ORIGINAL 350, 400, 428 or 455 ENGINES INSTALLED.PLEASE NOTE: IF YOUR A 1969 MODEL PLEASE BE AWARE THAT 1969 WAS A TRANSITION YEAR AND YOU NEED TO ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE THE TALLER 4.5" HEIGHT WATER PUMP.
Over the years many 1969 - 1979 Firebirds and Trans Am models have had an engine swap. Please double check your particular car before ordering to confirm that you have a 69-79 Pontiac engine. This kit will only work with those year engine designs. Please Note ~ Over the years many cars have had an engine swap. Please double check and make sure you have a true 1969 - 1979 Pontiac V8 engine timing cover. This water pump will only work with the proper 69 - 79 11 BOLT timing cover.
